MOON, M. P. POLLY Polly Moon, age 77, of Waco died peacefully at her home July 30, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, August 10 at Cross Plains Cemetery with Rev. Burlie Taylor officiating. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Following graduation from Odessa High School, she attended Baylor University, pursuing a career in medical technology. For a time she worked in Waco, Richmond, and Snyder, Texas. She eventually made her home in Waco, working at Providence Hospital until her retirement. Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Maggie Moon, brothers, Gerald and Harold Moon and a life long friend, Nell Smallwood. Survivors include nephew, Bobby Moon, and some very special people in her life, Billie Sue Mullen, Linda Hill, John D. Montgomery and family, Russell Richards, Merle Gipe and Steve Gengo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of your choice or due to Polly’s love of animals, Fuzzy Friends Rescue or Waco Humane Society-Animal Shelter.
