Mabel Frances Youtz

YOUTZ, MABEL Mabel Frances Youtz, 89 passed away Sunday, March 9, 2003 at a local hospital. Services and burial will be in North Canton, Ohio. Visitation with the family in Waco will be 6-8pm Monday, March 10, 2003 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Youtz was born December 29, 1913 in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in and around North Canton, Ohio. She graduated from North Canton High School Class of 1933. The members of this class still hold monthly reunions, which she would occasionally travel to attend. While in North Canton she was active in the Life of Zion United Church of Christ as a choir member, pianist and member of numerous classes, missionaries and committees. After the passing of her husband, Russell, in 1998, she came to Hewitt to live with her son and his family. Here she was a member of “Newcomers & Neighbors” and enjoyed their weekly bridge games. She also enjoyed her weekly visits to the “Salon” in Ridgewood Village. The family expresses their sincerest gratitude to the outstanding people of both of these organizations for their roles in welcoming her to Central Texas. Survivors include her son, Gary L. Youtz and his wife Peggy of Hewitt, three step-grandchildren, Chris, Jessica and Jennifer Talley. She will also be missed by her loyal dog, “Houston”, extended family & many friends.
