Major Elaine Hall Sunrise: July 30, 1925 Sunset: August 11, 2010 Major Elaine Hall of Waco was promoted to glory Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at her residence. A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center, located at 1225 Jack Kultgen Freeway, Waco, with Lt. Colonel Orville Salmon, Lt. Colonel Henry Gonzalez, and Captain Russell Czajkowski officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Major Elaine Hall was born July 30, 1925, in Houston, Texas, to George and Millie Wyatt. She married Major Robert E. Hall in 1946 in Houston. Together they began a life of service to God and man as Salvation Army ministers. Her service included assignments in the following Texas cities: Tyler, Fort Worth, Austin, Littlefield, Big Spring, Corsicana, Midland, Waco, Lubbock, Amarillo, San Angelo, Texarkana, Victoria, Bryan-College Station, Cleburne, and Killeen. She was well-known for her love of young people and character-building activities for them. Her ministry included music, drama, puppetry, chalk drawings, counseling, and her compassionate concern for others. She was selected as a peer counselor for and by her fellow Salvation Army ministers. She was lovingly referred to as "MOM" Mother of Many. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Major Robert E. Hall; and grandson Robert Ray Harrison. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Harrison husband, Ray of Waco, Beverly Munoz of Austin, and Barbara Parnell husband, David of Waco; foster daughter and cherished friend, Josie Moore, of Waco; granddaughter, Lynnette Tinsley husband, Doug of Arlington; grandsons, Ray "Rusty" Harrison II and David Wheeler wife, Jackie of Waco, Cleveland Wheeler of Daytona, Florida, and Manuel "Manny" Munoz of Austin; great granddaughter, Kayla Engelbert; great grandson, Nathan Tinsley, of Arlington; and step great grandchildren, Michael, BriAnna, and Tawni Moore of Waco. Elaine is also survived by her brother, Brian Wyatt, of Oklahoma City. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family, as well as countless faithful, devoted friends, and special angel, Lorraine Johnson.
