JONES, MALCOLM Malcolm H. Jones, 81, formerly of Waco, Texas, died Saturday at Wilson N. Jones hospital in Sherman, Texas. He had been a resident of Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Gunter, Texas for approximately 3 years. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 on Monday, January 17, 2005 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with Ernie Christie from Lake Shore Drive Church of Christ officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 7-9pm, Sunday, January 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Jones was born on January 2, 1924 in Waco, Texas to Malcolm Henry Jones and Lola Belle Pace Jones. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Oleta Jones and Melba Brown. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Roberts Jones and son, Ronald F. Jones and wife, Charlotte Jones all of Frisco, Texas. He has two sisters, Agnes Donaldson and Sue Tidwell, both of Waco. Mr. Jones also has two grandsons, Brad Jones and his wife, Mollie of Tyler, TX and Blair Jones and his wife, Keri of Belton, TX. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Boatswain, First Class. He participated in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. He lived in Waco most of his life. Mr. Jones retired from Central Texas Iron Works and enjoyed spending his retirement flying, traveling, camping and fishing.
