MARCIA NAY Marcia Elizabeth Nay died September 22, 2004 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 24 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey chapel with Rev. Su Milam of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 23 at the funeral home. Marcia was born in Jacksonville, Texas on December 14, 1943. She grew up in San Antonio, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1960 and from Trinity University in 1965 with a B.S. in Political Science and Public Administration. In 1965 Marcia was elected co-chairman of Young Republicans of Texas. In 1967 she accepted a management and buyer position with Broadway Department Stores in Los Angeles, CA. Later she was a jewelry buyer for a chain of stores. Marcia remained active in politics, and in 1980 was appointed Deputy to County Supervisor of L.A. County, responsible for Health Services of L.A. County, CA. Proceeded in death, Marcia’s beloved grandparent, Dock and Etta Poston and Alice and Samuel Nay. She is survived by her parents, Marge and Sam Nay Jr.; son, Mike McGee and wife Kay; grandchildren Brandon and Shelby McGee, Stephen Sweeney and Bodi Potter; brother, Sam Nay III and wife Molly; niece, Holly Nay Dunham and husband Mike; nephew, Heath Nay and wife Heather; aunts, Martha Bundrick and Edna Phillips; and several cousins. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Booth, Heath Nay, Mike Dunham, Todd Garrett, Michael Antonivich and Bob Gates.
