Marcia Lee Lindstrom February 5, 1933 – March 2, 2006 On this day, Thursday, March 2, 2006, Marcia Lee Nyberg Lindstrom of Hewitt passed from her earthly life with graceful dignity through the veil to life everlasting. Her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, received her with open arms. She is now an angel of the Lord. Services will be at 11:30 am Tuesday, March 7, at First United Methodist Church of Hewitt with Rev. Donna Ware officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7-9 pm Monday, March 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Marcia was born February 5, 1933 to Clifford and Mae Norall Nyberg in Holdrege, Nebraska and was raised on a farm near Loomis, NE. She was valdictorian of the 1950 Senior Class of Loomis High School. She earned a teacher’s certificate from Kearney State Teachers College and taught grades one through eight in a one room school house during the 1950-51 school year. She was married to Lewis Lindstrom in the Presbyterian Church in Holdrege by the Rev. Donald Bean on June 23, 1951. They lived in Houston, TX from September 1951 until July 1966. Two sons, Jimmie and David were born in Houston. In 1966, the family moved to Waco and have made this area their home since. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hewitt. Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Mark and John Nyberg, sisters, Carol Veeh and Jean Rummel and son, Jimmie. She is survived by husband, Lewis, son, David and wife, Karen, granddaughters, Ashley and Chelsea, sister Dona, sister-in-law, Shirley Nyberg and several neices and nephews. Pallbearers are Wayne Wilson, Carl Geer, Larry Allbritton, Jim Daniels, Jeff Weaver and Jerry Bruce. Honorary pallbearers are all Marcia’s friends, as per her request. Memorial donations may be made to to the First United Methodist Church of Hewitt or the charity of your choice.
