SMITH, MARCINE RUHNKE Marcine Ruhnke Smith, age 76, of Waco passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at her residence after a lengthy battle with emphysema. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 7th at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. John Carroll officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Smith was born March 22, 1925 in Waco to Edward and Elizabeth Ruhnke. She made Waco her lifelong hometown. After graduation from Waco High, Marcine began a career in the banking business at Citizens National Bank. She suspended her banking career when she married William E. Smith of Waco and dedicated her time to her two sons, Brown and Lark. She later returned to Citizens Bank and worked as a teller until her retirement. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Edith, Edwina and Norma. Survivors include: Sons: Brown Edward Smith of China Spring William Lark Smith of Waco Four grandchildren Nine nieces Three nephews In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Hillcrest Hospice or Texas State Little League Headquarters Building Fund.
