Mardell Ida Ash July 17, 1925 - January 2, 2010 Mardell Ida Ash of Robinson passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Hillcrest Hospital, where she was surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mardell was born July 17, 1925, in Clifton, TX, to Adolph and Hulda Siepert. She lived most of her life in the Waco area, retiring from the Postal Service after 30 years of service. She was an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Ash was a supporter of Friends for Life and also Meals on Wheels. She also assisted in the Feast of Sharing in past years. She was a member of the National Audubon Society. She loved her family, traveling, volunteering and playing dominoes. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Viola Siepert and Laura White; and brothers, Leo and Arnold Siepert. She is survived by her son, Steve Ash and wife, Melynda; of Robinson; a sister, Dorothy Schuerg; a brother, Johnny Siepert; grandchildren, Kimberly Ash, Kristopher Ash, Kassandra Ash, Jordan Ash, Edward Garcia and Angel Foster; and great-grandchildren, Liam Ash and Matthew Garcia.
