Margaret D. Fadal September 4, 1930 - June 18, 2014 Margaret Billie Fadal passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Aaron Zimmerman and dear friend, the Reverend Michael Attas, M.D. officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Margaret Aileen DeBusk was born September 4, 1930, in Coleman, Texas, to William and Jewell DeBusk. She attended schools in rural west Texas graduating from McCamey High School. Following her graduation, Billie, as she was known to family and close friends, moved to Dallas to attend Parkland Nursing School. After earning her R.N. Billie worked as a visiting nurse for the Dallas Heart Association and was an ER charge nurse at Parkland Hospital, where she met her future husband, Richard George Fadal, a medical student at that time. They were united in marriage January 7, 1956, and moved to Richard's home town of Waco, where they spent the rest of their lives. Dr. Fadal preceded her in death in 2011. Billie's love and unyielding devotion to Richard and their children was immeasurable; however, that caring and nurturing did not end there but rather extended to all who were willing to receive it. Such love and generosity was personified by her fabulous meals and feisty spirit. She was forever a gracious hostess welcoming family and friends alike. Evenings were always a time for fellowship and sharing. Just when one wondered how big her heart could get, along came grandchildren and great grandchildren who immediately received her special love. Her life of love and giving created many cherished memories and treasured traditions that will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Fadal Coker and husband, Burl; sons, Michael R. Fadal and wife, Debbie, Thomas A. Fadal and wife, Tracy, Richard D. Fadal and wife, Jennifer; granddaughters, Dr. Lacy C. Kessler and husband, Jimmy, Ashley C. Blossman and husband, Cody, Holly Rene Fadal, Jennifer F. Salisbury and husband, Kurt, and Jill Fadal; grandsons, Colt Fadal, Kyle Fadal and wife, Amanda, Christopher Fadal and wife, Stephanie, and Tyler Fadal; great grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Kessler and Mason William Salisbury, all of whom give thanks to God for the gift of their parents and grandparents. Billie is also survived by her brother, Fred DeBusk; sisters-in-law, Mary Holstein and Carolyn Hurst; and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family wishes to give special thanks to the physicians and staff of Greenway Kidney Center, Dr. Ronald Wilson, Dr. Michael Attas, Dr. Darrell Pietsch, Dr. Nick Schwedock, Dr. Michael Jahrmarkt, the nurses on Providence 3 North, as well as personal caregivers Alma Gonzales, Lupe Morales, and Emma Holder who provided so much love and compassion for both Billie and Richard.
