Margaret Crozier

November 5, 1929 — July 23, 2005

Margaret Mary Elizabeth Peggy Crozier passed away the evening of Saturday, July 23, 2005 surrounded by her family. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, July 26 at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be from 6 – 8 pm Monday, July 25 with Rosary being cited at 7:00 pm in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Peggy was born at home on November 5, 1929 in New York City, the daughter of John James Aloyious Dunleavy and Beatrice Leontyne Gaines Dunleavy. She grew up and attended school in Peekskill, N.Y., graduating from Berkley School of Business and was employed by a publishing company. In 1949, she married Frank F. Crozier and lived in the Yorktown Heights, N.Y. area for over 20 years, moving to Waco in 1972. She was employed by American Income Life Insurance as a claims adjuster where she achieved her FLMI. Her career included real estate as an agent for Jack Dunn and an assistant at the Masonic Grand Lodge. Always the volunteer, she was Girl Scout Troop leader, school librarian, member of the St Patrick’s Mothers Guild, Midway I.S.D. PTA and Heart of Texas Doll Club. She loved to crochet, quilt, collect toys and dolls and going to Piccadilly Cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter. She is survived by her brother, Newman Dunleavy of Peekskill, N.Y. and the most important legacy of her life, her six daughters, Virginia Ginger DeMarco and husband, Anthony of Putnam Valley, N.Y., Priscilla Symank and husband, Robert of Lorena, Tx., Melinda Kettler and husband, David of McGregor, Tx., MaryBeth Alexander and husband, Wayne of Cypress, Tx., Mandy Williams of Waco and Holly Anne Johnson and husband, Strat of Highland Village, Tx. Special love to Mark Williams of Waco. The love extended to her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
