MARGARET EVELYN COGSWELL February 8, 1918 - December 30, 2009 Margaret Evelyn Cogswell, 91, died at her home, in Eddy, TX, Wednesday, Dec. 30. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Avenue T Church of Christ, Temple, TX. She was born in 1918, in Hill County, TX, to Wilson and Camilla Cogswell, the oldest of 5 children. Margaret graduated from NTSC in 1936 and taught music in schools around Hillsboro, TX for several years. She taught in Gatesville State School for boys for 3 years, and became a librarian, serving in McGregor Schools. She was Medical secretary for the Drs. Woolsey, Woolsey & Woolsey in Waco for several years, until it closed. She was a life-long member of Beta Sigma Phi, in Waco. She played cello in the Waco Symphony in the 70's. She was active in the Church of Christ in Hillsboro, Temple and Moody for 80 years. She recently served as a Volunteer in the "Love of Christ" in Temple, until her death. Mission work has always been her love; and she has donated generously to such efforts for MANY years. She was honored as "Woman of the Year" in 1999, by the Waco Christian Schools. She was pre-deceased by her parents and brother, Jack, and sister, Annette Pearce. She is survived by: her sisters, Bobbie Harris, of Opelika, Ala; and Yvonne Rosenquist of Granbury, TX; brother-in-law, Ed Rosenquist; seven nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews.
