She graduated from China Spring High School and married Cliff Pierce in Valley Mills, TX, on April 13, 1935. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and an especially great cook, who was widely known for her chocolate cream pies. Also she was an active member of China Spring Civic Club for many years. Margaret and Cliff lived most of their married lives in China Spring, where they were active members of First Baptist Church. She taught the Friendship Sunday School Class for many years, and the ladies who were members were some of her dearest friends. Many of them called her "Sister", just like her own family did. Also she served her church as Financial Secretary and helped her husband, who was the Church Treasurer. They faithfully and lovingly devoted years of time and effort to their church. Her greatest happiness and pleasure were her two beloved granddaughters and her three great-grandchildren. As a faithful Christian, she tried to serve her family in whatever ways she could. She truly enjoyed preparing meals for her family on holidays and birthdays. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Anne Grube and husband Bill, of Waco; her sister, Betty Sue Grayson Brooks and husband Wallace, of Waco; her granddaughters, Betty Jane Kiowski and husband Mark, of Plano and Laura Anne Meredith and husband Clint of Waco; three great-grandchildren, Katherine Anne Kiowski and Luke William Kiowski of Plano, and Elizabeth Anne Meredith of Waco. Pallbearers will be Charles Ferguson, Monte Grayson, Jimmy Bryant, Ray Bridges, George Lindsey, and Erbie Lewis. The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Regent Care Center of Waco and to Bluebonnet Hospice for their loving care of Margaret, especially during her last day and night on this earth.
