Lane, Margaret Margaret Kathcart Lane, 97, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Brad St. Romaine officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 4 from 6 to 8:00 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque. Mrs. Lane was born April 25, 1908 to Erreet and Rose Hammell Kathcart in Columbus Junction, Iowa. During the 1920’s, she danced for the Waco Hippodrome Theater. She married Edward Barnard Lane in 1927. In addition to raising her family, she was a Grey Lady for the American Red Cross during World War II and a charter member of the Waco Longhorn Riding Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by son, Ed Lane and wife, Pat of Waco; daughters, Rose Lane Schmidt of Waco and daughter, Connie Lane of Sedona, Arizona; grandchildren, Lezlie Rogers and husband, Ray of Waco, Laurie Broeseker and husband, Brad of Clarksburg, Maryland, Debbie Haddad and husband Tom of Crawford, Cathy Bradshaw of Waco, and Ellen Schmidt and Kenneth Sprague of Dover, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Jessica Alexander and husband Danny of Waco, Diana Garrett and husband, Jason of Ridgeland, Mississippi, David and Elizabeth Haddad of Crawford, William and Richard Bradshaw of Waco, Margaret and David Hay, Alex Broeseker of Clarksburg, Maryland and Dennis Ramsey of Waco; great great grandsons, John Ryan Mordan, Zachary Garrett and Steven Ramsey residing in Ridgeland, Mississippi and Waco; niece, Linda Shriner and husband Roy of Irving; nephews, Rex Kathcart of Arlington and Austin Kathcart of Independence, Missouri and sister-in-law, Gladys Kathcart of Bryan.
