POPE, MARGARET Margaret Woodley Pope, age 86, a longtime resident of Waco died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 in Granbury. Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, April 5 at Lake Shore United Methodist Church with Rev. Pamela Dykehouse officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, April 4 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 1124 Washington Ave. Mrs. Pope was born March 18, 1916 in Coryell County near Pidcoke, Margaret lived in Waco most of her adult life. She was a very active member of the Lake Shore Methodist Church since its inception. Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Pope, and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include the following nephews, nieces and their families: Jack and Ann Woodley, Bill and Elaine Woodley, Carl and Kathy Woodley, Wayne and Elsie Woodley, Don Woodley, Nelda and Bob Rountree and Peggy Beniot. Other survivors include foster daughter, Sandra Brooks, members of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, her many friends at Lake Shore Estates and many others whose lives were made brighter because they knew her.
