Margaret R. Scott May 23, 1915 - August 20, 2012 Margaret R. Scott of Waco passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at Providence Hospital. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, at Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Packard officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery at Waxahachie, TX. Margaret was born May 23, 1915, in Ochiltree County, Texas, to William and Effie Rothrock. She worked until she was 80 years of age, retiring in 1995, as registrar of vital statistics for City/County Health Department. In 2010 she was the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award for service by a city employment. Margaret was a very active member of Central Presbyterian Church where she served as Director of Christian Education for 7 years. She was dearly loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Gannaway Scott; her son, John Morgan Scott; and her two sisters. She is survived by her niece, Linda E. Ledwell of Dallas.
