Margaret Sayre Shipp Kayser

KAYSER, MARGARET SAYRE SHIPP Margaret Sayre Shipp Kayser, age 98 daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. William Franklin Shipp of Lorena, died Thursday, July 17, 2003 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10am Saturday, July 19 at Lorena Cemetery with Rev. John B. Cooke of Dallas officiating. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Kayser was born October 7, 1904 in Lorena. She graduated from Lorena High School and Baylor University with a degree in Spanish. She also studied in Mexico for several summers. She taught Spanish at Weatherford High School in Weatherford for 18 years. She married Ray C. Kayser in 1942 in Lorena. He preceded her in death April 30, 1975. Mrs. Kayser and her husband were active in the Winkler County Historical Society. She was president of the Texas State Garden Clubs. Survivors include eleven nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. Memorials may be made to Lorena Cemetery Association. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
