Margaret Taylor Allison May 24, 1925 – August 4, 2007 Margaret Taylor Allison, 82, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Lorena Cemetery with Rev. John B. Cooke of Dallas officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm, Monday, Aug. 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Margaret was born May 24, 1925, to Loys Vernon Taylor and Eileen Shipp Taylor in Lorena, Texas. She attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1942. Margaret married John W. Allison, Jr., the love of her life, on Jan. 27, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia. She loved God, her husband, her family and her friends. Margaret was a 57 year member of the First Baptist Church, Waco. She enjoyed being involved with the City Council PTA for years, the Lorena Cemetery Association and the Waco High Class of '42 reunions. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and friend. If you ever met her, you never forgot her. She made a lasting impression on anyone she met. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John W. Allison, Jr. She is survived by her son John Allison and wife, Lisa, of Arlington; daughters, April Allison Cole and husband, Hank, of Waco; Amy Allison Mayers of Waco; grandchildren Allison Behringer, Taylor Mayers, and Andrew Mayers; and many loving cousins. The family wants to thank Dr. Ross Shipp for his wonderful care and the compassionate staff at Hillcrest ER and MICU unit. Honorary pallbearers are: Lt. Col. Alan Linville, Don Linville, Dr. J. L. McAtee, Dr. Ross Shipp, Herbert H. Behringer, Taylor Mayers, Andrew Mayers, Hank Cole, Billy Behringer, and Phil Savage. Memorials may be made to the Lorena Cemetery Assocation or the A.J. Cole Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Paul's Episcopal School, Waco.
