Margaret S. Wittner January 18, 1939 - January 14, 2006 Margaret Wittner went to meet her Savior Saturday, January 14, 2006, from her home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Dr. Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2006, at Wilkerson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home. Margaret was born in Waco, Texas, to Rupert and Florence Purvis. She graduated from Waco High School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Baylor University. She taught in the Waco Independent School District and China Spring School District. She married Harold E. Wittner on December 23, 1961, at Grace Temple Baptist Church, Waco, Texas. She was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church in Lorena, Texas. She enjoyed decorative painting, quilting, and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Purvis; her brother, Wayne Purvis; her granddaughter, Laura Wittner; and her nephew, Dale Sessler. She is survived by her husband, Harold E. Wittner; her daughter, Melinda Wittner Wink; her sons, Keith A. Wittner and Stephen R. Wittner; her sisters, Joyce Sessler and Carolyn Mounce; 4 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.
