Margie L. Cox April 13, 1930 - July 13, 2011 Margie L. Cox of Waco passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at First Lutheran Church of Waco with Pastor Paul Fiske officiating. Burial will follow at Our Saviors Lutheran Church Cemetery at Norse. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Margie was born April 13, 1930 in Bosque County, Texas to Edwin and Malla Pederson. She graduated from Clifton College and married Doyle Lee Cox in 1950. She retired from Smeads; and she supervised the South Waco Senior Center until 2008. She was a member of several Scandinavian groups and she enjoyed delivering Meals On Wheels with her special friend, Jesse Pafford. Margie was an active member of First Lutheran Church, Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Emroy, O.J., Wendell, Truman and Mitchell; and one sister, Jennie Mae Jenson. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Richards and husband, Aubrey of Clifton, TX; and Sandra Hoskisson of Colorado; and son, Joseph Cox and wife, Penny, of Waco; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
