Maria Ester Smith May 25, 1925 - December 24, 2013 Maria Ester Smith of Waco passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 28, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Maria was born May 25, 1925, in San Jose, Costa Rica to Eutropio and Adelina Acevedo. She was a devoted wife, mother and Catholic. Maria was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wesley E. Smith. She is survived by three sons, Stephen Smith, Kirk Smith and wife, Lynn and Ross Smith and wife, Debbie; and her step-son, William Smith and wife, Tina; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
