Maria Guadalupe De Castorena

On September 29, 2021, God gained a special loving angel, Maria Guadalupe (Lupe) Campos De Castorena at the age of 52. Funeral service will be held on October 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on October 6, 2021 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home from 5 – 7 pm. Rosary will follow from 7 – 8 pm. Maria (Lupe) was born January 20, 1969 and was raised in El Refujio Zacatecas, Mexico where she met her husband of 30 years, Manuel Castorena, whom she loved greatly. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, Tia, and friend. She loved having get-togethers at her house and cooking for everybody. Maria (Lupe) was known for her delicious tamales. She loved her granddaughters and spending time with them. She loved listening to music and singing, and late-night talks with her family enjoying her cup of coffee with pan dulce. She will be greatly missed. Maria (Lupe) was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Isabel Campos; her grandparents, Francisco Campos, Christina Vasquez, J. Jesus Jaramillo, and Ma Guadalupe Ramos; and her loving niece, Yulisa Castorena. She is survived by her loving parents, Rosa Maria Jaramillo and Juan Campos; her loving husband, Manuel Castorena; her children, Maria Isabel Cuellar and husband, Oscar, Maria Guadalupe Castorena, Manuel Castorena Jr., Rolando Castorena, and Fatima Castorena; her loving granddaughters, Yarely and Yocelyn Cuellar; sisters, Maria Dela luz, Christina, Maria Luisa; brothers, Lino, Raul, Ramiro, Miguel, Lauro, and Jose Campos; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Manuel Castorena, Jr., Rolando Castorena, Raul Campos, Ramiro Campos, Miguel Campos, Carlos Castorena, Jose Pascual Castorena, and Oscar Cuellar. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters Yarely and Yocelyn.
