Maria Ninfa Hernandez

Maria N. Hernandez-Zuñiga, 88 years, of Waco passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Pastor Alejandro Suarez officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Maria was born February 1, 1928 in Mexico, to Jose and Rosa Hernandez. She raised her three sons and one daughter, and lost her youngest child at the age of six. She was a housewife but also worked hard labor jobs to raise her children. She became a widow at age 34 and never remarried. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezequiel Zuñiga; her son, Ismael Zuñiage, her daughter, Bilha Zuñiga and her brother, Jose Hernandez. She is survived by her children, Leandro Zuñiga, Ariel Zuñiga and Maria D. Romero, all of Waco; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Leandro Zuñiga, Ariel Zuñiga, Jose Zuñiga, Ariel Zuñiga, Jr., Silvestre Romero, Jr., and Exzavier Tobon.
