Eula Marie Hatch Bowen August 7, 1924 November 26, 2008 Eula Marie Hatch Bowen, 84, went to join her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with Pastor Dan Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Marie was born in Waco, Texas, on August 7, 1924, to Roy and Roberta Hatch. She graduated from Baylor University, avidly supporting and following the Bears all of her life. She married Arthur Eugene Bo Bowen on August 21, 1947. She was a vibrant and loving wife and mother, actively involved in the life of her community and her home church, South Park Baptist, in Alvin, Texas. Marie was adventuresome and fun loving; she loved to travel and travel she did, visiting every continent in the world, except Antarctica. Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband. Survivors include her daughter, Beverlyn Eckert and her husband, Al; son, Brad Bowen and his wife, Sandra; sister, Roberta Bailey; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Blake Bowen, Danny Shurden, Chaz McCurry, Al Eckert, Roy Bailey, Hatch Bailey, and Wes Bailey. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
