MARIE FERRELL Marie M. Ferrell, 81, of Waco, died Sunday, April 21, 2002 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23 at Oakwood Cemetery, with Dr. Rebecca Whitaker and McLennan Chapter #639 O.E.S. Visitation with the family will be Monday, April 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Ferrell was born on April 6, 1921 in Loveland, OK. She was reared and educated in Mangum, OK and graduated from Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff. She also had a degree in floral design from T.S.T.C. She married Ben W. Ferrell on April 8, 1946 in Wichita Falls. They have resided in Waco for the past 40 years. Mrs. Ferrell was an artist and enjoyed watercolor. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she was in the Berean Sunday School Class, and a member of McLennan Chapter #639 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was Past Matron of Centennial Chapter #842 O.E.S. She was active in the Waco Calligraphy Guild. Survivors include her husband, daughter Suzanne Ferrell Ickles and husband Donnie L. of San Angelo and son Steve W. Ferrell of Rockwall. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
