Marie Rachael Melendez

Marie Rachael Melendez, 30, of Waco, Texas, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 12, at 10 am, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Marie was born August 22, 1991, in Waco, to Guadalupe Melendez Garcia. She grew up in Waco, attended public schools and graduated from A.J. Moore High School. Marie enjoyed working at Cargil, where she was employed for a year. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved to make people laugh and smile. Her son was her biggest motivation in life. Marie was a good daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and an even better mother. Marie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Juanita Melendez; brother, Angel Faustino Melendez, Sr.; and her son’s father, Saint Christopher Ordones, Jr. Marie is survived by her loving mother, Guadalupe Melendez Garcia, and husband, Chris Ordones, Sr.; step-father, Jose Francisco Garcia, Sr.; her son, Saint Christopher Ordones III; brothers and sisters, Jose Francisco Garcia, Jr., Isaiah Garcia, Noah Garcia, and Meiah Garcia; nephews and nieces, Angel Melendez, Jr., Aliyanah Jackson-Garcia, Aly Melendez, and Kayson Garcia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers are Jose Garcia, Jr., Isaiah Garcia, Noah Garcia, Angel Melendez, Jr., Roy Garcia, Jr., Damien Cruz, Leno Bush, and Isaiah Senicero. Saint Christopher Ordones III is an honorary pallbearer.
