Marie Stevens

MARIE STEVENS Marie Stevens, 86, a life-long residence of St. Louis, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003. Private family services will be held Saturday, August 23, in Waco, Texas. Marie was born in St. Louis on July 15, 1917, and lived in South St. Louis. She married J. Kenneth Stevens on Aug. 25, 1944. They lived in Maplewood and Affton in St. Louis County. Marie & Kenny had two sons, Terry Stevens of Waco, TX, and J. K. Jim Stevens, Jr. of Bossier City, La. She has 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Roettgen Payer, and her sister Pat Hutson. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Kenny Stevens; her brother Charles Payer of Rock Hill, Mo.; her sister Gertrude Hoffitz of Bellville, Ill.; her sons, Terry Stevens and wife, Elaine, and Jim Stevens, and wife, Debbie; Grandchildren, Donna Moxley, Debbie Davenport and husband, Del; Kenny Stevens and wife, Kim; Tracy Greaber, and husband, Stacy; Kellie Wood and husband, Burleigh; Tamara Strahan and husband, Tillman; Michael Stevens, and Patrick Stevens; and Great-grandchildren Jonathan Hood; Danielle, Courtney & Dalton Davenport; Benjamin, Nicholas, Matthew & Elizabeth Stevens; Parker Greaber and Ryan Wood; and many nieces and nephews.
