Marilyn Loraine Kemp, age 59, died April 30, 2004 at her residence. Services will be held Monday, May 3, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at St Jerome’s Catholic Church in Hewitt with Rev. Walter Matus officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cyclone. A rosary will be recited Sunday, May 2, at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home, visitation with the family will follow after the rosary. Marilyn passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her and whom she loved. Her courageous battle with cancer was truly amazing. She fought long and hard, living 9 years with this disease. She never gave up hope and kept her wonderful sense of humor until the day she died. She was loved and admired by those who knew her. Marilyn was born October 4, 1944, to Elsie and Leo Schneider in Cyclone, Texas. She attended parochial school in Cyclone and continued at Rogers Public Schools where she graduated in May of 1962. She married Bill Kemp on June 9, 1962 and together they had three children. Marilyn was an active companion to her husband in their various businesses and was an expert homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Schneider in 1966 and a niece Jennifer Pelzel in 1997. She is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Randy and wife Rachelle of Waco, Kimberly Kilburn and husband Jeff of Pittsburg, Texas, Rebecca Barton and husband Clay of Temple; four grandchildren, William Reece Kemp, Whitney Reagan Kemp, Cole Thomas Kilburn, Courtney Loraine Kilburn. She is also survived by her mother Elsie Carlson of Temple; twin sister Carolyn Hoelscher of Temple and sister Kathy Pelzel of Troy. Memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice.
