Jack was born January 21, 1926, in Waco, to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Jack Henson, Sr. He attended Waco public schools and graduated from Waco High School in 1942. He attended Baylor University from 1942 until 1944, when he entered the U.S. Army. He was stationed on the island of Okinawa during WWII and was honorably discharged with the rank of staff sergeant, returning to Waco in 1947. He graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1949 and a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 1951. While attending Baylor, Jack studied voice under Martha Barkema, who assigned Nancy Tripp to be his accompanist. Jack's vocal talent afforded him many opportunities, including an invitation to perform with the Metropolitan Opera of New York. He opted to stay in Waco because he had found the love of his life, Nancy. Jack and Nancy were married on July 18, 1952, at the First Baptist Church in Waco. Many performances ensued with Jack singing and Nancy accompanying until October 20, 2006, with their final performance together of "The Lord is My Light." Jack's father, Jack Henson, Sr., founded the business known today as Henson Business Products, 510 Lake Air Dr., in Waco. Jack worked his entire life in the business and served as president until 1999. After stepping down as president, he continued to maintain an office and come to work daily until 2009, when his wife, Nancy, passed away one week before their 57th wedding anniversary. He grieved the loss of Nancy for nine months and truly suffered a broken heart. Jack is survived by his sons, Jack Henson, III, and wife, Michelle, of Waco, and Jeff Henson and wife, Sharon, of Robinson; grandchildren, Kasey Vickers and wife, Megan, of Washington, D.C., Amy Moegelin and husband, Chad, of Robinson, Deena Pino and husband, David, of Hewitt, Greg Henson, and Ambree Vickers of Ft.
