Marjorie A. Davis of Waco passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Pastor Albert Fuentes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Marjorie was born May 21, 1928, in Waco, Texas to Ernest and Nettie Royals. She graduated from Waco High in 1944 and attended Baylor. She was in the Waco Chapter of Poetry Society and National Who’s Who of poetry. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother and dear friend of her children and grandchildren. Marjorie was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Davis, Jr.; two sons, Robert Frank Davis III and Gary Davis; and brother, George Royals. She is survived by her son, Lyndon Davis; two daughters, Karen Davis and Frances Lassetter and husband, Roy; two granddaughters, Rachel and Elaina; and her sister, Betty Hopkins and husband, Neil. Pallbearers are David Ochoa, Bob Lashua, Jeff Clark, Tracy Blackshear, Mingo Rivera, Otis Scott and Christian Cathey. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Bluebonnet Hospice.
