Marjorie Faye Abel June 23, 1922 - December 12, 2014 Marjorie Faye Abel of Waco passed away Friday, December 12, 2014, at Providence Hospital. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Randall Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, December 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey . Marjorie was born June 23, 1922, in Wise County, Texas to Earl and Maggie Hawkins. She and Thomas "Tony" Abel were married April 12, 1946 and they lived in Dallas for 40 years. Marge was employed at Joske's Department Store for 20 years and after retirement the family moved to Hewitt. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Christine Liles and a brother, Raymond C. Hawkins. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Dawson, Hewitt; son, Gregory Abel, Arlington, TX; a sister, Effie Thomas, Bridgeport, TX; a cousin, Jan Montford, Bridgeport, TX; four grandchildren, Jay Dawson and wife Andrea; Stephanie Dawson, Christopher Abel, Jorie Hemphill and husband Richard; six great-grandchildren, Korey Beatty, Kyle Beatty and wife Cati; Taylor, Tyler and Tanner Dawson and Ellen Hemphill; one great-great-grandson Kyran Beatty.
