Marjorie S Erwin November 28, 1921 - April 28, 2006 Marjorie S Erwin passed away Friday, April 28, 2006 in Austin, TX. Services will be at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, May 3 at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday May 2 at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco. Marjorie was born November 28, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA to Herman Sydney Stuckeman and Alma Esther Stuckeman. She attended school in Pittsburgh, Sullins Jr. College in Bristol, Va. and graduated from Maryland College for Women in Lutherville, Md. She served as Lt. JG in the United States Navy during WWII stationed in Washington, D.C. She married Thomas F. Erwin on August 28, 1948. She worked at Jim Walter Paper Co. in Lubbock, before moving to Waco in 1985. She was active as a volunteer at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center; and member of the D.A.R., Les Nouvelles Amies, and former president of Emerson Club. She was an active bridge player and faithful Houston Astro’s fan. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and her parents. She is survived by her brother H. Campbell Stuckeman of Pittsburgh, son Fredic C. Erwin and wife Gayle of Ft. Worth, son Dr. Geoffrey Erwin and wife Elizabeth of Austin, grandchildren Elizabeth Adams, Meredith Miller, Andrew Erwin, Alexander Erwin and 3 great grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or First United Methodist Church of Waco.
