Marlene Springer

Marlene Springer passed away peacefully Monday, November 18, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. 

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, officiating will be Senior Pastor, Steve Heyduck. Interment will follow the service at Friedens Cemetery in Riesel, Texas. Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, at the funeral home. 

Marlene was born in Waco, Texas, March 24, 1948, to Henry and Esther Schimschat. 

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Springer; and her son, Barton Springer. 

She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Springer; and grandson, Holden Springer; as well as many extended family members that she loved dearly. 

Pallbearers will be James Welch, Allen Ach, Dennis Ach, Hayden Heinze, Kris Backstrom & Sean West. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to Woodway United Methodist Church in Woodway, Texas.
