Marshall Hamilton Tiner November 1, 1924 - April 30, 2006 Marshall Hamilton Tiner, 81, of Woodway passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Rosemound Cemetery. While there is no formal visitation, the family invites you to come by the funeral home at any time. Marshall was born November 1, 1924 in Waco, to Darmon L.Tiner and Alice Elizabeth Tiner. He graduated from Graham High School in 1943; then enlisted in the United States Navy serving in World War II as a pilot and instructor. When he returned from the war, he attended and graduated from Texas Christian University. Following graduation, he worked as a pilot for American Airlines until his retirement in 1975. He met Nancy Lemke, who was a stewardess with American Airlines and they were married January 20, 1953. After retiring, Marshall and Nancy moved to Runaway Bay, TX where he enjoyed woodcarving and golfing. They returned to the Waco area in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Juanita Loveless and brothers, Otha Tiner and D.L. Tiner. He is survived by wife, Nancy Tiner of Woodway, daughter, Gayle Burleson and husband Charlie of Teague, and two sons, Marshall Dale Tiner and wife Susan of Elgin, TX and Mark William Tiner and wife Catherine of Willow Park, TX. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, John Burleson, Katie Burleson, Jeana Clayton, Sarah Tiner, David Tiner, Adam Tiner, Brandon Tiner, Cody Tiner; and two great grandchildren, Justin Klear and Rachael Clayton.
