Marshall Harvey Cargill, Sr. August 26, 1921 – February 22, 2006 Marshall Harvey Cargill, Sr. 84, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center. Visitation will begin at 12:30 and the service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Keith Vaughn and Dr. Michael Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Chilton Cemetery. Marshall was born August 26, 1921 in Lott, TX to C. C. and Ethel Cargill. He and Jenna Will Hazlewood married December 2, 1940 and just completed 65 years of marriage. Jenna was proposed to on their first date. He worked with Southern Pacific Railroad, starting at the bottom and worked his way up to plant manager in Eugene, OR and Houston, TX. He had a gift for gardening and loved a pretty yard! Marshall was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. He is survived by his wife, Jenna Will Cargill of Robinson; son, Harvey Cargill, Jr. of College Station; granddaughter, Kristi Kincheloe and husband, Jim; two great granddaughters and one sister, Fannie Hamilton. The honorary pallbearers will be the Swanner Sunday School Class at Meadowbrook Baptist Church and Jerry Hamilton, Horace Gene Hamilton, Rusty Copeland, Marvin Webster, Mark Webster, Charles Walker and Jim Kincheloe. The family extends their “thanks” to Kay Hogue of Providence Hospice, to Joyce Walker, Pearl Merritt, the nurses of the Willow and Magnolia units and the therapist department of Wesley Woods Alzheimer’s Care Center.
