SEXTON, MARVIN DEAN Marvin Dean Sexton, age 71, of Lorena died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at his residence. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, March 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ron Durham and Dr. Bruce Cresson officiating. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, March 19 at the funeral home. Mr. Sexton was born July 12, 1932 in Waco to Elmer and Prudie Adams Sexton. He graduated from Waco High School Class of 1951 and worked at Curry Office Supply. He married Claudia Nell Nix in 1953 in Waco. He was a member of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church and Dr. Bruce Cresson’s Sunday School Class. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He joined the Waco Fire Department in 1960 and retired in 1995 as a lieutenant. Mr. Sexton will be escorted to Waco Memorial Mausoleum by Waco Fire Department trucks. Reluctantly, we say goodbye to Dino A fireman by trade. There wasn’t a better person God could have made. He was Dean to his friends And Honey to his wife. For fifty plus years They led a wonderful life. He was Dad and Paw Paw To all of the kids. We won’t forget all the fun things that we did. Gone now is the sickness And all of the pain. We’ll miss you, but in Heaven We’ll see you again. Sam Sexton 3/18/04 He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include wife, Claudia Nell Sexton of Lorena; mother, Prudie Sexton; daughter, Patti Sexton Townsend and husband, Bruce; son, Sam D. Sexton and wife, Sharon all of Waco; grandchildren, Heather Brooke, Jarrett and Weston Townsend and Stephen and Sally Sexton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sidney Belville of Lorena; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Greg Belville, Bobby Warren, Stephen Sexton, Jarrett Townsend, Weston Townsend, and Bradley McDow.
