Mary A. Richey

Mary Agnes Richey passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, at Garland Cemetery, FM44, east of Clarksville, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mary was born March 18, 1923, in Anonna, Texas, to Leon and Hattie Daniel. She graduated high school from Anonna, and later attended cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser in Dallas, where she met her husband, David Richey. They married in October of 1942. She worked for KMart and retired in 1983, and in 1992, began working for WalMart as a people greeter. She made many friends through her career at WalMart. Her hobbies were shopping, reading, cooking and watching movies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Richey; her sister, Frances Carpenter; and brother, Jackie Daniel. She is survived by her brother, Billy West Daniel and wife, Buryl; daughter, Sherry Gavlik and husband, Gary; son, David Richey, Jr., and wife, Glenna; six grandchildren, Kristen Greenwald, Angela Giles, Tony Dixon, Brandy Kirven, Aaron and Cody Richey; and seven great-grandchildren.
