MARY CARLENE PARMER December 7, 1961-September 13, 2016 Mary Carlene Parmer, an angel on this earth, peacefully returned to her Maker on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, surrounded by adoring family and friends. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church, Valley Mills, Texas, on Saturday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mary taught physical education and many elementary students at Valley Mills ISD for a decade. Mary was born in Taylor, Texas, on December 7, 1961, to William R. and Joan Parmer. She was the youngest daughter and had four siblings: Kay Alley and husband, Dr. Steve; Joan Barrett and husband, Moody; Dr. Donna Stauber and husband, George; brother, Bill Parmer, Jr., and wife, Rhonda. Mary was preceded in death by her father, William R. Parmer, Sr. She is survived by a daughter, Hannah Sedgewick and her husband, Tyler, of Liberty, Missouri. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews who helped care for her during her thirty-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Friends and family who supported her during her time of need often left her presence more blessed by being witness to her strong faith and eternal positive attitude.
