Mary Elizabeth Levy May 24, 1925 - January 10, 2013 Mary Elizabeth Levy of Waco passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Corsicana, Texas. Mary was born May 24, 1925, in Corsicana, to Andy and Mae Szenasy. She married Isaac Sonny Levy on November 25, 1972. They lived all their married life in Waco. Mary graduated from Corsicana High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University. She worked in the Corsicana Public Library for 20 years, most of time as head librarian. She was a WISD librarian after her marriage to Isaac. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Corsicana and sang in the church choir, and was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist after moving to Waco. She loved music, gardening, the outdoors and adored her cats. She always put her husband as her #1 priority. She considered her nephews and wives as her children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Garry Gobell; and all her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Isaac Levy; nephews, Neil Van Stavern and wife, Virginia, of College Station, TX, Phil Van Stavern and wife, Barbara, of Oklahoma City, OK, and William Levy of Grand Prairie, TX.
