Mary Falsone Dicorte July 12, 1913 - March 7, 2007 Mary Falsone Dicorte, 93, of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 12, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary, with Father David Liebham officiating, will be recited with visitation following at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Mary was born July 12, 1913, in Highbank, TX to Joe and Frances LaBarbera Falsone. She married Billy Dicorte on April 12, 1931, and moved to Waco. As a young woman, she worked in the family business, Dicorte Brothers Grocery, and later was his partner in the Billy Dicorte Package Stores. She was a devoted wife to her husband during his lifetime. She lovingly raised four children and watched with pride as her family grew to include 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church of the Assumption, and later a founding member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Frances Reistino and Rose Denena; and three brothers, Jim, Robert and Joe Falsone. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Hope; son, Frank William Dicorte and wife, Sue; son, Joseph Michael Dicorte and wife, Ann; daughter, Rose Ann McAnally and husband, John; grandchildren, Paul and Bill Hope, Georgiana Kiddle, Nick Dicorte, Kelly Newman, Lorrie Dicorte, Debbie Shaw, Justin and Charlie Patterson, and John, Joe and Robert McAnally; and by her great and great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Benetta Wenning and husband, Walt; Angeline Cangelosi; Camella Scamardo and husband, Pete; and her brother, Tony Falsone and wife, Polly. Pallbearers are her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macular Degeneration Research, the Arthritis Foundation, or China Spring Christians in Action, 1466 Dominion Oaks Dr., China Spring, TX 76633.
