MARY FRANCES PINKY TAYLOR PRIEST, RN, 79, of Waco, died September 7, 2001 at home. Graveside services will be a 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Bosqueville Cemetery on Rock Creek Road with Chaplain Wendell Russell officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 1124 Washington Ave. Mrs. Priest was born November 9, 1921 in Denton. A lifelong resident of Waco, she graduated from Waco High in 1939. She was a graduate of St. Paul’s School of Nursing and Baylor School of Nursing. She was employed at the Veterans Hospital in Waco until her retirement. She was a loving mother and wife who deeply touched the lives of many friends and family. Mrs. Priest was preceded in death by her husband Thornton E. Priest on August 3, 1998. The family would like to recognize the love and care provided by her caregiver Sue Crow. Survivors include her daughter Carrie Priest of Waco; two sons: Thornton Priest, Jr. and his wife Alicia of San Antonio and David Priest of Waco; two grandsons: John and Jason Priest of San Antonio; her brother Frank Taylor of Waco; her sister-in-law Laurelle Vahue of Waco and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be John Taylor, Lary Vahue, James Irby, Harold Dunn, John Livingston, Ron Holub and Robert Sheehy. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
