Mary H. Pena passed away Monday, April 17, 2023. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 25 at Calvary Chapel, Waco, with Pastor Albert Fuentes officiating.

Mary was born July 12, 1933, in Hallsburg, Texas, to Arthur and Annastacia Fuentes. Mary was educated at Riesel High School. She worked at Owens-Illinois for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being able to help anyone she could. She was big-hearted. She loved spending time with her daughter, sons, and her many grandchildren. She loved baseball and being able to attend the games. She also loved cooking. She made some of the best, most memorable meals. She was active in the community and volunteered many times, including at The Waco Center for Youth. She enjoyed watching Young and the Restless and Wheel of Fortune the most. She enjoyed reading the paper and drinking coffee every morning. She loved nature, spending time outside, planting, and gardening. She was able to grow anything. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. Her loving spirit stays with us all. Her biggest enjoyment in life was her family. We are all blessed to have shared these times with her.

A special thanks goes out to everyone who provided care and help with Mary, including Reliable Home Health, Waco Cardiology Associates, and Baylor, Scott & White Hillcrest Bosque Clinic.
