MaryAnn Hendrix Hensel June 10, 1949 September 17, 2011 Our sweet and spunky MaryAnn Hendrix Hensel MeMe was called home Saturday, September 17, 2011. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. MaryAnn was born June 10, 1949, in Waco, Texas to Joe and Mary Hendrix. She met the love of her life, Alan Hensel in high school, married March 23, 1968, and they began their journey together. She is remembered mostly for her spunky attitude, love for her family and her gift of gab. Family was everything to MaryAnn. She loved helping others and always wanted to, even when she couldn't in the past few years, due to her health. She enjoyed traveling and her many trips with friends and family and loved being at the beach. She was always planning her next trip. She was a gourmet cook, wine connoisseur, incredible quilter, Farkle pro, Farmville genius, Bunco Queen, enjoyed Country and Western dancing, doing the Macarena and loved cheering for her Dallas Cowboys! She was a special lady who touched the lives of many people. She was preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Mary Hendrix. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Alan Hensel, of Woodway; her daughter, Lori Hensel Young and husband Tommy, of McGregor, Tx; her son Brad Alan Hensel and wife, Monica of McGregor, Tx; four grandchildren, Alexandria MeMe's Allie Girl Hensel, Jacob MeMe's hunter and fisherman Hensel, Josh MeMe's rockin' guitar player Young and Justin MeMe's BamBam Young. A sister, Donna and her husband John Drosche; niece, Malley Drosche, all of Marlin, Tx; a sister in-law Jeannie Hensel Rogers and husband, Rick of Cedar Park, Tx; a niece, Crystal Rogers Dalland and husband, Mark; great-nephew Mitchell and great-niece Bayleigh, all of Liberty Hill, Tx; a nephew Karson Rogers of Cedar Park, Tx; a nephew Cooper Rogers and wife, Mandy; great-niece, Layla, all of Pflugerville, Tx. and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and her fur-baby, Baylee Renee. The family would like to express our gratitude to our caregivers, Pat Daniel, Karen Rutledge, Sandra Earles of S&W Home Healthcare, Providence Hospice and Dr. Nick Schwedock, the nurses of Providence 3 East, especially Monica Kilpatrick, Melinda Tillery and Kristen Brown for being there for her and her family during her final days. Providence ER Nurses, especially Sarah Tiprigan for her caring touch while in the Emergency Room. Dr. Eric Walker, Dr. Lee, Dr. Ritchie, Dr. Eastwood and Dr. Barbin. Gisela GG Plum and Phillip Koss for their assistance in helping make her comfortable while at home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, son-in-law and friends: Jacob Hensel, Josh Young, Justin Young, Tommy Young, George Stauber and Karey Koon. Honorary pallbearers are: Bill Olson, Jack Henry, Mike Staas, Greg Menning, Jim Wolfe and Yost Zachary.
