Mary Katherine Haynen

MARY KATHERINE HAYNEN, 83, formerly of Waco, died Sunday, August 12, 2001 in San Angelo. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church in San Angelo. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 1124 Washington Ave., Waco, TX. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at the First Presbyterian Church of Waco, Rev. Jim Johnson officiating, with interment to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Mrs. Haynen was born on May 6, 1918 in Waco. In 1940, she married John Gus Richter, who died in 1962. In 1969, she was married to Joseph Riley Haynen, who died in 1980. She moved to San Angelo in 1999. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waco and was an affiliate member of First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo. Mrs. Haynen was ordained as a ruling elder of the Presbyterian Church in 1970. Since then she was served her local church and Grace Presbytery on many committees and boards. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Margaret Richter Schulze and Jerry H. Schulze of San Angelo and Mary Kay Richter Travis and John C. Travis of Gaithersburg, MD; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews and a stepdaughter Ida Haynen Ball of Plano. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
