Mary Kathryn Dietz November 29, 1921 - November 8, 2012 Mary Kathryn Dietz, 90, of Waco, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Reverends Chuck Treadwell and Frank Mangum officiating. There will be a private family burial. "Precious things come in small packets," an apt description of this lady whose petiteness belles the dedication and energy she applied to everything to which she was involved. She was born in Waco, on November 29, 1921, to John and Florence Bledsoe. Mary Kathryn loved this community and her beloved St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Her dancing spirit served her well while studying with the Hoffmanettes and dancing into the heart of the love of her life, Henry Dietz. Mary Kathryn and Henry were married at St. Paul's on October 22, 1940. Blessed with two boys, John and Bill, Mary Kathryn was a mother of unsurpassed love and devotion. Along with her devotion to family, her community involvement and outreach was ongoing. She was a dedicated volunteer with Meals on Wheels, a member of St. Paul's Altar Guild, Waco Junior League, St. Margaret's Guild and a founding member of the Waco Cotton Palace Pageant. This sweet lady now dances with the Angels and will be dearly missed. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Henry Dietz; son, John Walter Dietz, Sr., and wife, Mary; son, William Henry Dietz, Sr., and wife, Cindy; granddaughter, Susan Christine Holze and husband, Stephen; grandson, William Henry Dietz, Jr., and wife, Elizabeth; grandson, John Walter Dietz, Jr., and wife, Robin; grandson, Airman Steven Turner Dietz; and grandson, David Kyle Dietz and wife, Charis; great-grandchildren, Liam and Alex Dietz, Mathew and Andrew Holze. Pallbearers will be grandsons, William Henry Dietz Jr., John Walter Dietz, Jr., Airman Steven Turner Dietz, David Kyle Dietz, and grandson-in-law, Stephen Holze, family friends, Albert David George, Mercer Buchanan, Lyndon Olson, Tom Bond, Johnny Griffis and Jim Copeland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 601 Columbus Ave., Waco, TX 76701 and to Alzheimer's Association, 6605 Sanger Ave., Waco TX 76710.
