Mary L Dickey of Waco passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Mary was born July 6, 1923, in Waco to Wilson Banks Stanford, Jr., and Jewell McBrayer Stanford. She graduated from Lorena High School at the top of her class. Mary and her husband, Loyd T. Dickey, had three children. She worked for years at the Texas Gold Stamps center, where she was in charge of all the displays. She was a faithful and gracious woman of many talents. She loved to sew, enjoyed camping, organized church garage sales, and church activities. Mary was a Sunday School teacher, and very active in PTA, and Boy Scouts. Most of all, she loved being with her family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Michael Dickey and Wayne Dickey; and a grandson, Andrew Long. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Long; daughter-in-law, Vicki Dickey; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Mary also leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Ed Young. Honorary Pallbearers are her grandchildren. The family wants to thank Bec and Ed for all the years they shared and cared for Mary. We are so grateful.
