Mary Merle Curry

CURRY, MARY Mary Merle Curry, 88, of Waco, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003 at a local nursing home. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum with Minister Bert Mercer officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation with the family will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2003 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Merle was born September 8, 1915 in Hazen, Arkansas to the late D.T. and Inez Stokes Curry. She attended and graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was employed by the Telephone & Southwest Electric Power Company for 35 years. She retired and moved to Dallas and then to Waco in 1979. Merle was a member of Crestview Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rennie Curry.
