Mary Schreiber

December 11, 1933 — January 13, 2013

Mary Jo Cash Schreiber December 11, 1933 - January 13, 2013 On December 11, 1933, the world was blessed with one of the brightest spirits ever known to this world. On January 13, 2013, that bright wonderful spirit was called to be with the Lord. A celebration of the life of Mary Jo Cash Schreiber, and the many lives that she touched, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Burial will take place in Neosho, Missouri, on Saturday, January 19, under the direction of Clark Funeral Home. Mary was born December 11, 1933, in Neosho, Mo., to Carl and Mae Naramore. After graduating high school and attending college, Mary moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she was blessed with her first child, her beloved Carla Dea Cash. Her life journey took her back to Missouri where her only son, Steven Lee Cash, was born into her life. A job transfer to Waco and the untimely death of her then husband, James D. Cash, brought her to the love of her life, Wesley Schreiber, whom she married on February 15, 1978. Mary touched many lives with her many Missouri Sayings. Whether it was a "Sunny Jim" or a "Bull Hockey" or a "Fard-art," you always knew where you stood with Mary Schreiber. As a Certified Fashion Police Officer, if Mary wasn't talking to you about someone else, rest assured she probably was talking about you to someone else. Regardless, it was all in good fun as Mary had an undying love for her family and friends, which was evident by her membership with the First United Methodist Church of Waco and Ridgewood Country Club. Mary's zest for life was closely followed by her unfaltering work ethic that touched many industries. Whether President of Women in Construction, Accountant with Palmer Oil, Accountant and part owner of Dal-Rich Oil, or Accountant and part owner of Schreiber Investments, Mary made sure that all the numbers "jived" and was known as the only woman that could run a multi-million dollar company with a No. 2 pencil, her trusty Monroe calculator, and a 30 column spread sheet. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Mae and Carl L. Naramore; sister, Ora Dean Fox; and her daughter, Carla Cash. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Wes Schreiber; son, Steve Cash and wife, Adrienne; grandsons, Kenneth Cash and wife, Heather, and Wesley Cash and wife, Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Kristen Cash, Ty Cash, and Graham Cash; and nephews, Roger Fox and Randy Fox and wife, Sherry. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Providence 4 E for their care and dedication during Mary's illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Methodist Church of Waco, Fuzzy Friends, or the charity of your choice. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WilkirsonHatchBailey.com.
