NORRIS, MARY Mary Virginia Norris, age 95, of Waco passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at a local hospital. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12th at Waco Memorial Park with Dr. Stephen Mansen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mary Norris was the only daughter of W.T. and Jessie Potts. She was born July 19, 1905 in Archer City, TX. She graduated from Archer City High School, Wesly Finishing School, and Texas Women’s College. While working as a bookkeeper for Dan English Insurance Company in Kermit, TX, she met and married Charlie F. Norris, who had two sons; Lewis and Eddie K. She joined the Eastern Star and maintained member ship throughout her life. When Charlie and Mary moved to Waco in 1959, they joined the Central Christian Church. Her husband preceded her in death on January 8, 1984. Survivors include: Sons: Lewis F. Norris of Waco Eddie K. Norris of Wheatland, CA Grandchildren: Bobby, Randy, Theresa and Dale Norris Eight great grandchildren Donations may be made in her name to Central Christian Church, Eastern Star or St. Elizabeth Center, all of Waco.
