Mattie Belle Williamson Cooper Our precious loved one went home to be with our Lord on December 21, 2005. Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas. Auntie was born Mattie Belle Williamson in Marlin, Texas to Marybelle and Fred Williamson. At a very early age, Mattie Belle and her sister, Mary Beatrice, whose parents were Methodist, were allowed to walk to a Baptist church because it was nearby. One Sunday they decided to walk the aisle and they joined the Baptist church. What a surprise for Mama and Daddy! But Mattie Belle was a good and faithful servant of her Lord and Savior since that day so long ago at age seven. She faithfully gave of her prayers and tithes to her church in Waco for many years, and even after losing most of her sight to glaucoma, she used a huge magnifying glass to read her Bible each night. She mentioned each family member by name in her nightly prayers. Auntie and Frank Cooper lived in Waco where Auntie was employed with the Veterans Administration for many years. In 1941, Frank was in the Armed Services in Hawaii; and he and Auntie experienced the attack on Pearl Harbor. Auntie goes to join her Mama and Daddy; her sister Beatrice Keith; her brother William Fred Williamson; her niece, Cathy Collier, and her husband and soul mate, Frank C. Cooper in Heaven. Auntie is survived by her sister, Dede Laws; her nieces, Sheri Johnston and husband Larry; Linda Hane and husband, Paul; Mary Ann Collier and husband Pat; Jeri Kay Hartung and husband Roger; Betty Drury and Freda Connally; nephew, Ollie Williamson and several great-nieces; Julie Procell, Ashley Jones; Ana Johnston; Megaan Johnston; Debbie Frazier; Angie Guest; Amy Curtis, and two great nephews: Keith and Clint Hartung; and special friend Cissy Roquemore. Our thanks to Southern Care Hospice and to Daisy Cox for their loving and compassionate care of Auntie.
