Maurica Jan Fair April 9, 1953 - April 1, 2009 Maurica Jan Peachie Fair of McGregor walked into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, after a long battle with Parkinson's/M.S.A. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with visitation to follow. Jan was born April 9, 1953, in Ieager, West Virginia, to Maurice and Veronica Glassco. The family moved to McGregor from Kentucky in 1970. She was a 1971 graduate of McGregor High School. Jan met and married Michael Fair in 1977, and they raised their family in the McGregor area. She worked for M&M Mars for 25 years in Twix processing and met many of her lifelong friends. Jan's greatest love was her grandchildren. She was always proud she got to pick them up and go, before her condition no longer allowed her to drive. She loved to watch the Texas Longhorns play, music, reading, crossword puzzles, chocolate and traveling. Jan was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Nicole Fair; a twin sister, Felecia Ann Glassco; and her father, Maurice E. Glassco. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael; son, Christopher Wolske and wife, Yvonne, of Speegleville; mother, Veronica Neve Glassco of McGregor; grandchildren, Clay and Maecy Wolske of Lorena, Jason, Samantha, Emily and Logan Westmoreland of Speegleville; sisters, Toni Kocian of Hewitt, Susan Copeland and Robin Gomez, both of Oglesby, Lisa McIver of McGregor, and Tina Norwood of Robinson; brothers, Sonny Glassco of Oglesby and Mark Glassco of Los Angeles, California; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express our deepest thanks to Bluebonnet Hospice nurses, Jessica, Kathy, Lisa and Stacy; Dr. Patricia Wilcox and Dr. Stephen Howlett, for all you have done. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.wilkirsonhatchbailey.com.
